Onun bakış açısını destanın geri kalanından görmek istediğimi öğrendim. Midnight Sun'da çok komik olan Hewas, daha fazlasını okumak istiyorum, gerçekten daha fazla kitap yapmalılar.
I loved the idea, but the execution was a little lacking. Some of the dialogue was repetitive and I didn't find the two mains' banter very clever. I do love the concept of the mate/bond that Feehan has created. I am not yet a huge fan of this series, but I'm definitely already looking forward to the next in the series.
Thorough, riveting, and devastating.
Quite possibly the definitive book on depression. From therapy to medications to suicide, he covers it all. Andrew Solomon is not a psychologist by profession, he's an author who happens to have suffered episodes of SEVERE depression in his life. It is therefore very well written.
I bet I'm going to have to read this again. Apparently, making me read it three times was not enough for The Establishment.
The book was wonderful, but the movie was HORRIBLE. The movie had nothing to do with the book at all, except for when they show people being smuggled into the country and the cattle killing room at the end of the movie.
Nothing awe-inspiring, but it was a quick, fun read.
Unlike most books which precede the movie, this one followed the PBS documentary made by Spencer Wells for National Geographic. That was a FABULOUS documentary. I expected the book to follow the documentary closely but provide more scientific details. The book is quite independent and it took me a while to figure this out and resulted in some disappointment. The book doesn't contain too much of the science of the Y-chrom genetics and it tends to jump around chronologically making following the story a bit difficult. It does have the most beautiful photographs however. I told this to the friend who lent me the book and they have now given me Deep Ancestry to read. This is Spencer Wells' second book and it is supposed to delve more into the science.
