The story kept me captivated. There were many loose strings that needed to be tied up in this story and the characters and setting were to my liking. Lucy comes home after being gone for several years to alot of changes coming. Her mother is finally going to sell the big house that she can't keep up with anymore and her brothewr is going into business with an uncle she's not sure will give him a fair shake in the business. Lucy discovers some letters from the distant past and begins to put together the picture of her distant family. Good reading, not an extraordinary story, but kept my interest.
Edmund has to be my favorite character, he's really real...The dedication paragraph of the book i liked too.
