Everyone had been raving on about this book so much that I felt I had to read it, if only to find out what all the fuss was about. To be honest having now read it I am none the wiser. It was very poorly written, the plot was predictable and the characters were annoying in their stupidity. What really started to annoy me was how characters kept turning up at places just a minute too late, just a minute too late to save someone...just a minute too late to catch someone.... I'm afraid I didn't learn my lesson and I went on to read Angels and Demons which it turned out was exactly the same! I know some people really enjoyed this book and I suppose it's all about personal choice but I hope I never have to read another Dan Brown book as long as I live.
So far, very interesting study of the effects of nature on children and their development. Favorite line is about the "criminalization of childhood play." Sadly, I've seen that
