The series continues to be awesome!
amazing, duh
I heard about this book on NPR, and Michael Ondaatje read an excerpt from it, which was just beautiful...and I had to go and buy it that day. Although I had a hard time with The English Patient, I loved Anil's Ghost, and I'm also in love with this one. I'm reading it slowly because I don't want it to end. :) I read the beginning of a review of Divisadero in the New Yorker, where Ondaatje's writing was compared to Cubism. Then I had to stop reading because I didn't want to know what the journalist had to say about the book. I love it, and didn't want that ruined. :) It's lovely, poetic writing and incredible storytelling. Already a favorite.
one of my favorite books. hilarious and wonderful.
What we talk about when we talk about love. Amazing. Dislike a lot of the poems, but that is okay.
As a professor's daughter, I had to pick this up just because of the title. It was a fun read - but I guess I am not a huge fan of graphic novels in general.
