It's a quick, easy read. I'm about 3/4 of the way through and there is some intrigue. It reminds me of Davinci code and other similar books. Great for a sick day or a train ride.
This book really disappointed me I had really hoped that it would be more amazing than the first one, but it was still a rlly good book I felt really sad after she and Tucker broke it off:(
While the poetry in the book does not reach the height of excellence that her later, more "serious" work did, the true worth of this book is Silverstein's truly fantastic (if short) biography of Dorothy Parker, which contains a number of delightful anecdotes that I have been unable to find in other books. Buy it for the biography, and consider the amusing poetry as a bonus. :)
There's a lot of wisdom in this sweet and dangerous book. For me, it's must read. This is the second time I've read it and I like it more now than I did the first time. The truth about rules and the people who make the rules is handled gently and simply enough so that most readers will be able to understand what Tiffany is trying to learn.
a crazy classic!
