I read only a few pages into the book before giving up. Didn't get connected with the characters nor did I understand what was going on in the story. I'm sure someone who loves The Borgias would love to read this novel.Its just not for me. The cover is beautiful.
Really liked the Texas series and this one started off just as good.
Well I read it in middle school so you can't really trust my opinion, but even then I thought it was good (although it has its slow parts, as far as I can remember). I still think about it once in a great while, so you could say it left an impression.
