Despite the photo on the cover taken from the movie, the book didn't follow the movie script but covered far more ground and was quite interesting. Lionel Logue was the King's therapist for quite a bit longer than the movie would have you believe and it's content was based on Lionel's private letters, journals and collections of newspaper clippings.
