Beautiful, well-written coming-of-age love story. The author has made the characters life like through her descriptions as well as the city, sights and smells where the story takes place. After reading this novel I feel personally involved and vested in Lena's well-being and relationship not only with Alex (who every girl spends her life looking for) but Grace and her other family members as well. I wish I had known there were additional books coming and that I hadn't read this one so long before the others are released. My perception of the story may possibly be altered by events to come since I still have a lot of unanswered questions after reading Delirium. The wait is going to be unbearable, and after such a long wait the only satisfaction seems to be in hoping everything works out the way I think it should.
