My own preferred translation for the title : "Same Shit, Different Day." But that misses out on the optimist bilingual pun in the French/Arabic title (hélas). This is a quick read, a little bonbon of a book, and while perhaps overly optimistic about the situation "en banlieue," and the possibilities for rising above material/cultural/familial tragedy, the narratrix Doria has a delightful voice who manages to convince you to keep hoping despite all the appearances to the contrary.
