Picked it up on Thursday afternoon and couldn't put it down! Became and insomniac and finally finished late late Friday night. The characters are real. The main character is not necessarily a likable person, but you still can't help following his story. What I found great is that the prose regarding trees, leaves, fields, skies, and all that artsy description written to set the mood of the story, in this book, doesn't feel like background information but rather a real part of the story. Usually I tend to skip over those long, flowery descriptions of the scenery, but with this book, you want to know everything! I'm only sad it ends and now I can't keep following the characters. It's intense but SO GOOD. I truly love Sohrab.
