I didn't love this one. I just felt like the story didn't come together well and the reason for the problem in the end was ridiculous to me. I felt like I kept waiting for something exciting or interesting to happen. I loved the idea of the sampler and the history behind it - but the main storyline was completely unbelievable to me.

I've only read a few short stories here, but they are extremely well-written and thoughtful stories. Along with some of the essays she has written, these stories become even more interesting. They do not take long to read, are unpredictable, and they hit me hard emotionally.
