I liked the book. Didn't love it, but liked it. I think I might have had too high of expectations after reading a review in the sunday paper. This is a "print on demand book" so I had to order it and wait for it to arrive. I got frustrated when I was reading it because I wanted Teya to be a stronger heroine, less easy to intimidate and manipulate. I realize that the writer was holding out for the big climax, but I got a little annoyed along the way. There are a few inconsistencies with the writing, for example, in one paragraph Jesse is sitting by the bed waiting for Teya to wake up "His rumpled bloodstained clothes left no doubt that he had stayed with her for as long as she had been there" but as he gets up and brings her water, "he had changed his bloodstained shirt for another, but his trousers still carried splotches of red". Then there are a few groan inducing lines like "He was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. A flame that shone too brightly for him" Since I am being nit-picky, the girl on the cover looks like she has metal teeth or every tooth has a filling and the font size in this book is just a little too small. Other than that, it is an OK, clean fun adventure/romance.
