I believe this was the first Seton book I ever read. It prompted me to read all of her others. Wonderful historical fiction. I have recently been prompted to reread some of her works to see if they are as good as I remembered them to be.

i read this in the heyday of my chick-lit obsession; it's much smarter than i originally gave it credit for. which is not to say it's a tome of great importance, but it's a decent example of the genre that won't make you feel as though your brain is leaking out your ears.
