I enjoyed this novel from start to finish. Kerr flawlessly weaves fact with fiction as Bernie Gunther follows the leads of his toughest and most dangerous case. I had a feeling about the plot twist introduced around page 270, but the tension just kept building. I was frustrated by the non-Hollywood style ending, but understand that it was really the only logical, and most realistic, way to end the book. Can't wait to see Kerr & Gunther again.
رشق سكين يُغمد فى القلب......فيكون بمثابة متنفس للالام ويخلق جراحاً يصعب شفاؤها. رشق سكين ظل فى موضع جرح ابتدعه, كى يحمى القلب من النزيف حد الوفاة رشق سكين ان غادر الجرح متأخراً تكون الدماء قد تصلبت,فلا يُشفى الجرح ,ولا يزول الاثر شخبطة انسانية تُشبه الدنيا ملحوظة لنفسى:انتى قريتى الكتاب دة تلات مرات,ماتسمحيش لضربة سكينة تتوجهلك ....ولو اتوجهت خرجيها بسرعة يمكن تنزفى ...واحتمال النزيف يبقى حاد,بس مهما كانت حدته فهى ارحم بكتير من جرح يفضل معلم جواكى واثره ما يزولش ابدا
