Yes, this book is long. Incredibly long. Even so, it's interesting enough to keep me plodding through the seeminly endless "Anne" time period (yes, yes, I know you want to marry her, Henry, and will change the world to do so, but the book's account seems to be as long as the time it took for you to make it happen. Must we, the reader(s), also bear your torturous burden?). Perhaps I'm anxious to read of his other wives (or anxious to rid myself of the loathsome Anne), and perhaps I'll have a very different review by the time my eyes travel over the later half of the book. ..... Now I've finished the book I leave it in a happy state. Despite my nagging about the "Anne B." time period above, the book was a good read. Though, really, the story was more about Henry's relationship with God more than his relationship with his wives (or so it seemed).
